The institute has organized several Conferences and Workshops in Laparoscopic Surgery for training in advanced endoscopic surgical skills. Research activities from the Institute has resulted in Dr. M. Ramesh, the Director of the Institute present over 60 papers in Conferences both in India & abroad.

The B.E.S.T. Institute & Research Center is also involved in development projects of major technologies like Virtual Realty & Robotics.

At the same time the institute is keenly involved is developing low-cost instrumentation and techniques to make Laparoscopy more affordable. It’s aim and endeavor is to see Laparoscopy at every nook & corner of our country.

    at St. Martha’s Hospital, Bangalore.
 
3. NATIONAL CONFERENCE AND WORKSHOP IN UPPER G.I. AND
    PAEDIATRIC SURGERY on the 10th & 11th July 1999
    at KIMS Hospital, Bangalore.

4. BREAKTHROUGH SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIES INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
   & WORKSHOP on the 21st & 22nd November 1999
   at Hotel Ashok and M.S. Ramaiah College Hospital, Bangalore.

REGIONAL CONFERENCES:

B.E.S.T. Institute and Research Center has been jointly hosting bi-monthly clinical meetings of laparoscopic surgeries along with IAGES at Hotel Rama since January 2001. This programme is held on the last Saturday of odd months between 7 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. and has been lot of popularity.
